Jeeps have inspired man to dream and to dare. To go further, live larger and explore every corner of this amazing world.” This evocative statement by Mike Manley, President and CEO of Jeep® , undoubtedly sums up the spirit of the brand. A machine born of necessity in 1941, this hero of World War II has spawned a genre of agile, go-anywhere vehicles. To commemorate its 75th anniversary, the 2016 Jeep model range will be available with special-edition trim – a fitting nod to those iconic vehicles that became a symbol of victory for a generation 75 years ago. Produced in limited quantities – 8,000 units only for the entire EMEA region – all models are distinguished by a new livery, a 75th Anniversary badge, low-gloss bronze rims, bronze and orange exterior inserts and exclusive interiors with seats sporting the 75th Anniversary logo in relief. While continuing to deliver off-roading leadership, world-class craftsmanship and superb on-road dynamics, each model is designed to have a personality of its own.

Available in six different colours, Sarge Green is unique to this very special Jeep® . Described by Head of Jeep Design Mark Allen as “closest to olive drab but not drab”, the Wrangler really is the model that most evokes the history of Jeep. “With its round headlights, slotted grille, square top and flat front end, it’s the core of our brand,” continues Allen. The 18-inch wheels and unique front and body-colour Dual Top help to give the Wrangler a classic yet clean 21st-century profile. The Wrangler comes equipped with powerful 3.6-litre V-6 Pentastar or 2.8 CRD engines. Standard equipment includes body-colour grille with slots and low gloss bronze headlamp surrounds and grille throats, Power Dome hood with functional air vents, limited slip differential, navigation system with premium sound system, leather-trimmed seats with Ombre Mesh insert and body-colour dual top. A cuttingedge 6.5-inch touch-screen Uconnect navigation system and Alpine Premium Sound System help to keep this retro machine in touch with current technology.

Graced with an all-new, unique front fascia, grille and roof and boasting exclusive 20-inch wheels, the Grand Cherokee is set to stand out from the crowd. Available in five eye-catching colours, Recon Green accentuates the historic links present in this special edition. A new, military-derived colour, Mark Allen describes this as the “dark and classy” variant. It features either a 3.0-litre V-6 MultiJet 250hp or powerful 3.6-litre V-6 Pentastar 286hp petrol engine, paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission. Equipment includes 20-inch alloy rims, navigation system, and Quadra-Lift air suspension that adjusts ground clearance to five different levels for improved driving dynamics on- and off-road.

Highlights include new 18-inch alloy wheels and a dual-pane sunroof, the new MultiJet II 2.2-litre 200hp turbo diesel engine, and Nappa leather seats with dual-tone Tangerine/Pearl stitching. There is an 8.4-inch Uconnect touchscreen radio, bi-xenon headlamps and dual-pane panoramic sunroof. The 75th Anniversary version will be available with both Jeep Active Drive I and Jeep Active Drive II systems. Externally, this 75th Anniversary variant shares the classy Recon Green hue with the Grand Cherokee, with another five colours to choose from: Brilliant Black Crystal Pearl, Bright White, Billet Silver Metallic, Rhino and Granite Crystal.

The 75th Anniversary Renegade Special Edition is equipped with all 4x4 engines, both petrol and diesel. The equipment includes 18-inch low gloss bronze rims, the exclusive MySky sunroof with removable panels and new, specific fabric seats with Tangerine stitching, as well as a Uconnect 6.5-inch navigation system with Uconnect LIVE services. Exterior design is also characterised by the dedicated Jungle Green paint, which marks the vehicle as the “fun and funky” variant, according to Mark Allen.
